The Importance of Rest

If it leaves you feeling more human, more grounded, more like yourself – that’s real rest.

Examples:

  • Sit and look at a tree, flowers, nature
  • A calm and slow walk for a few minutes (not for fitness)
  • A creative activity without a goal (like just doodling on a piece of paper, or coloring a mandala)
  • Sink into a hot tub or jacuzzi
  • Get a massage
  • Build a sandcastle at the beach

Try a variety of things to see what works for you – what really charges you with energy.
